InDecision Conviction Calculator

Input your independent bull and bear case scores (0–100 each) to compute the spread, conviction level, and bias label — exactly as the InDecision Framework does. Set each score based on your own analysis of the six factors.

Bull and bear cases are too close to call. No exploitable asymmetry — no position is the correct position.

How to Use This

The Bull and Bear Scores

Each score (0–100) represents the strength of the independent case — not a prediction, but a weight of evidence. Score the bull case by evaluating bullish evidence across the six InDecision factors (Daily Pattern, Volume, Timeframe Alignment, Technical Confluence, Market Timing, Risk Context). Do the same for the bear case independently.

The Spread

Spread = Bull Score − Bear Score. The spread is the primary signal. A score of 70 bull / 50 bear produces a +20 spread — that's High Conviction BULLISH. A 52/48 split produces +4 — Moderate NEUTRAL_BULLISH. The difference matters enormously in practice.

Conviction Bands

|spread| ≥ 15
High Conviction (HC)Act. This is the signal band with the highest historical accuracy.
|spread| 3–14
ModerateDirectional lean, but not full conviction. Reduce position size or wait for confirmation.
|spread| < 3
NeutralNo exploitable asymmetry. The correct position is no position.

Bias Labels

BULLISH// spread ≥ +15
NEUTRAL_BULLISH// spread +3 to +14
NEUTRAL// spread -2 to +2
NEUTRAL_BEARISH// spread -3 to -14
BEARISH// spread ≤ -15
